Scouting the M-West: Air Force
Air Force

Posted Jul 30, 2002

Possibly the most under-appreciated program in the nation, the Air Force Academy strictly prioritize both academics and discipline, and unlike other programs the Air Force talks the talks and walks the …well you know the rest. Like wise coach Fisher Deberry could quite easily be the most underrated in the nation as he constantly put a competitive team on the field.

Likewise this program always sneaks a player into the middle rounds of the. With the present situation the military in our nation now faces there is obviously more emphasis away from football but the Air Force stills has a pair of prospects that will draw interest from scouts. Cornerbacks Paul Mayo and Wes Crawley are both similar; nice sized cover-men with a good head on their shoulders and nose for the ball. Both are a little shy when it comes to foot-speed and best in zone coverage. Neither is likely to get drafted but should be offered free agent contracts and hopefully given the chance to compete when they return from serving our country.
