Arizona Cardinals –
Released RB Damien Anderson, OTs Alan Reuber and Jeremy Bridges, FBs James
Hodgins and John Bronson, LBs Isaac Keys and Mark Brown, DT Tim Bulman, CBs
Justin Wyatt, Darrell Hunter, and Dyshod Carter, TE Eric Edwards, Ss Jay
McCareins and Chris Harrell, WRs Micheal Spurlock, Todd Watkins, Greg Lee, and
Carlyle Holiday, DE Tyler King, and C Shawn Lynch. Placed S Jack Brewer on IR.
LB Lance Mitchell was waived-injured. DE Anton Palepoi and DE Kenny King reached
injury settlements with the team.
Analysis: Veteran RB Marcel
Shipp beat out Anderson for the No. 3 job. Edwards was beaten out by second-year
TE Adam Bergen. Watkins is a candidate for the practice squad.
Atlanta Falcons – Placed
CB Chris Cash on IR. Waived WR Troy Bergeron, DT Michael Bozeman, C Toby Cecil,
OT Shawn Draper, FB Kevin Dudley, WR Jamin Elliott, C Brian Ferentz, RB Marlion
Jackson, K Miro Kesic, DT Chad Lavalais, OT Chris McGee, DE Josh Mallard, FB
John Pannozzo, WR Jerome Pathon, WR Robert Redd, TE Jason Randall, DE Josh
Savage, CB Leigh Torrence, S Nick Turnbull, LB Travis Williams, and K Tony Yelk.
Analysis: The one name that is
somewhat of a surprise was Lavalais who was a starter last year but his played
really dropped off this pre-season. He looked lackadaisical at times and was
demoted so the move is hardly a shock.
Baltimore Ravens – Waived
QB Drew Olson, DTs Nick Leaders and Remi Ayodele, TE Bobby Blizzard, TE, Rob
Abiamiri, S Robb Butler, LBs Tim Johnson, Dennis Haley, Jimmy Cottrell, Ots
Michael Kracalik, LB Ryan LaCasse, OL Rob Droege, K Aaron Elling, DE Roderick
Green, WR Travis LaTendresse, C Thatcher Szalay, QB Brian St. Pierre, DB
Jermaine Winborne, CB Duvol Thompson. Released P Leo Araguz and placed G Brian
Rimph on IR.
Analysis: No surprises here. Elling was their kickoff specialist. The release of
Araguz means rookie Sam Koch won the punting job. The team only has two
quarterbacks left on the roster at this point.
Buffalo Bills - Placed FB
Joe Burns on IR. Released S Rashad Baker, CB Eric Bassey, TE Brad Cieslak, LB
Liam Ezekiel, OL Justin Geisinger, RB Lionel Gates, FB Jon Goldsberry, DE Jason
Hall, LB Wendell Hunter, RB Fred Jackson, DT Jason Jefferson, OL Greg Jerman, CB
Eric King, S Jim Leonhard, DE Ryan Neill, LB Joe Odom, FB Alan Ricard, DT
Lauvale Sape, OL Jason Thomas, and WR George Wilson.
Analysis: Veteran RB Anthony
Thomas beat out Gates. The oft-injured Ricard, if healthy, could find a backup
job fairly soon. Jerman should find a backup job somewhere else.
Carolina Panthers -
Released LB Keith Adams, OT Dave Kadela, and RB Jamal Robertson. Waived DT
Lorenzo Alexander, QB Brett Basanez, DE Jovan Haye, OT Chad Beasley, LB David
Bergeron, WRs Taye Biddle and Jovan Bouknight, FB Casey Cramer, CB Jarrett Rush,
DT Atiyyah Ellison, S Jermaine Hardy, RB Alex Haynes, WR Efrem Hill, QB Stefan
LeFors, WR Jusin McCullum, G Adam O'Connor, Ss Nate Salley and Billy Parker, and
OT Adam Stenavich.
Analysis: Second-year RB Eric
Shelton made the final roster which might have been a surprise to some. Basanez
should find a spot on the practice squad. Adams had been a disappointment and is
just basically a very good special teams player and decent backup.
Chicago Bears - Waived CBs Dion Byrum, Abraham Elimimian, and
Carlos Hendricks, WRs Craig Bragg and Mark Philmore, DTs Delbert Cowsette, RB
Andre Hall, S Jason Harmon, G Travis Leffew, and LB Jeremy Cain. Released OL Steve Edwards.
Analysis: No surprises here. A small surprise was that backup DL Michael Haynes
was kept at least for the time being.
Cincinnati Bengals - Placed
LB Odell Thurman on the Reserve/Suspended list, placed DE Jonathan Fanene, OT
Adam Kieft, and RB Chris Perry on the PUP list, placed CB Patrick Body, WR
Bennie Brazell, and DT Marcus Lewis on IR. Waived TEs Darnell Sanders and Ronnie
Ghent, OT Pete Lougheed, G Kyle Takavitz, C Ben Wilkerson, WR P.K. Sam, S John
Busing, RB DeDe Dorsey, DE Eric Henderson, WR Glenn Holt, TE David Jones, G Nate
Livings, FB Chris Manderino, WR Reggie McNeal, and FB Naufahu Tahi.
Analysis:
Veteran RB Kenny Watson will replace Perry until he’s ready to play. Look for
Wilkerson to find a spot on the practice squad along with McNeal.
Cleveland Browns - Acquired
C Hank Fraley from the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2008 draft choice. Placed RB
William Green on IR. Released WR Frisman Jackson, C Ross Tucker, CB Pete Hunter.
Waived RB Lee Suggs, LBs Nick Speegle and Clifton Smith, DT Babatunde Oshinowo,
WR Kendrick Mosley, FB Corey McIntyre, OL Dave Yovanovits, LB Justin Kurpeikis,
TE John Owens, CB Therrian Fontenot, DE Darrell Campbell, C Rob Smith, CB Jereme
Perry, S Andrew Pace, G Andrew Hoffman, OT Jonathan Dunn and QB Darrell Hackney.
CB Daven Holly is suspended for one week for violating the league's personal
conduct policy. Placed LB C Alonzo Ephraim on the Reserve/Suspended list.
Analysis: Fraley replaces
Tucker. The team tried to deal Suggs again but couldn’t find any takers after
the Jets voided their deal with them. Rookie RB Jerome Harrison now becomes the
No. 2 back for the time being. Oshinowo should find a spot on the practice
squad. QB Ken Dorsey surprisingly made the roster…for now.
Dallas
Cowboys - Released TE Tony Curtis , RB Keylon Kincade, OL Matt Tarullo, OL
D'Anthony Batiste, LB Junior Glymph, WR Skyler Green, WR Terrance Copper, NT
Montavious Stanley, S Willie Pile, WR Damarius Bilbo, QB Matt Baker, OL Rob
Petitti, LB Rocky Boiman, OL Dennis Roland, DE Stephen Bowen.
Analysis: Green
doesn’t come to that much of a surprise as head coach Bill Parcells isn’t big on
players who are just specialists like Green is. That said, he should still find
a spot on the practice squad. Baker also could find a spot on the practice
squad. Veteran tackles Jason Fabini and Marc Columbo beat out Petiti for a job.
Boiman is a decent backup and should be able to find a job before too long.
Denver Broncos – Placed C Greg Eslinger on IR. Waived CB Roc Alexander, DT Antwon Burton, OL Dwayne Carswell, WR Brian Clark, RB Ron Dayne, S Tyler Everett, DT Amon Gordon, DE Corey Jackson, P Micah Knorr, DE Corey Jackson, RBs Brandon Miree and Damien Nash, QB Preston Parsons, CB Jeff Shoate, WRs Darius Watts and David Terrell, QB Bradlee Van Pelt, LB Cameron Vaughn, DE Khaleed Vaughn, LB Ray Wells, and G Taylor Whitley.
Analysis: RB Cedric Cobbs won the No. 3 job over Dayne and Nash. Rookie WR Brandon Marshall won a spot in the top four of the rotation over Watts and Terrell.
Detroit Lions - Placed S
Idrees Bashir on IR. Released TEs Dave Pearson Sean McHugh, RB Artose Pinner,
WRs Devale Ellis, Charles Rogers, and Glenn Martinez, OTs Clint Stickdorn and
Kelly Butler, LBs James Davis and James Hargrave, S Marcus Demps, OLs Fred Matua
and Brock Gutierrez, DTs Lynn McGruder and Cleveland Pinkney, DEs Marcus Parker,
Damien Gregory, and Claude Harriott, CBs Dee McCann, Harrison Smith, and
LaMarcus Hicks.
Analysis: The handwriting was on
the wall for Rogers who never seemed to show any consistency in practice.
Martinez could find a spot on the practice squad as could Matua. Pinner wasn’t a
good fit for their offensive scheme. Butler should be able to find a job as a
backup.
Green Bay Packers -
Released TE Zac Alcorn, S Atari Bigby, S Tra Boger, WR Carlton Brewster, FB Ben
Brownb, K E.J. Cochrane, RB Najeh Davenport, CB Patrick Dendy, WRs Chris
Francies, Rod Gardner, and Cory Rodgers, LB Tim Goodwell, CB Antonio Malone, LB
Roy Manning, S Jeremy Modgins, G Tupe Peko, DE Kenny Peterson, DE Dave Tolleson,
and C Pete Traynor. RB Arliss Beach, OT Josh Bourek, and CB Michael Hawkins were
placed on IR.
Analysis: Rodgers should find a
spot on the practice squad, Peko is a decent backup prospect and could find a
job somewhere else, Peterson could be a fourth end for a team, Gardner could
fill a fourth receiver role somewhere, and Davenport should easily find work.
His problem was that he didn't take to their zone blocking scheme well.
Houston Texans - Released DEs
Jeff Charleston and
Earl Cochran, LB
Sam Cowart, S
Kevin Curtis, CB
Mark Estelle, TE
Aaron Halterman, OL
David Loverne, FB Nick Luchey, LB
Kenneth Pettway, QBs Cody Pickett and
Quinton Porter, WRs
Richie Ross and
Jake Schifino, RB
Antowain Smith, S
John Walker, LB Courtney Watson, OL
Chris Watton, CB
Tramon Williams, and DE Darrell Wright.
Analysis: No real surprises. The
team currently has two quarterbacks on the roster. Smith was beaten out by
second-year RB Vernand Morency and rookie RB Chris Taylor for a backup job.
According to a league source, the team is interested in re-signing Schifino.

Indianapolis Colts – Acquired DE/OLB Ryan LaCassse from the Baltimore Colts for a future draft pick. Waived K Shane Andrus, DB Waine Bacon, QB Josh Betts, DT Vincent Burns, DB Tanard Davis, DE George Gause, LB Nick Hannah, TE Joey Hawkins, WR Ed Hinkel, P Reggie Hodges, RB Tony Hollings, LB Brandon Hoyte, G Trevor Hutton, DT Tom Johnson, OT Bo Lacy, LB Dale Robinson, G Russ Tanner, G Matt Ulrich, DE Jon Welsh, and DT Marcus West. Released WR Marc Boerigter, RB Jon Wells, and QB Shaun King.
Analysis: No real surprises. Burns, Hinkel and a few others could find spots on the practice squad. Boerigter, Wells, and King could be back after week one when their contracts wouldn't be guaranteed. LaCasse fits of the mold of their ends, undersized but quick edge rushers.
Jacksonville Jaguars - G Don Connolly was placed on IR. Released were G Derrick Fletcher, OT Wayne
Hunter, WR Randy Hymes, DT Anthony Maddox, DB David Richardson, C Brett Romberg.
and TE Todd Yoder. Waived were RB Rich Alexis, DL Walter Curry, DE Jim Davis, LS
Andrew Economos, TE Greg Estandia, FS Jamaal Fudge, CB Trestin George, OT Ryan
Gibbons, LB Brian Iwuh, CB Edorian McCullough, WR Charles Sharon, G Shannon
Snell, WR Fred Stamps and DE James Wyche.
Kansas City Chiefs -
Placed DT John Browning and CB Alphonso Hodge on IR. Released OTs Thomas Barnett
and Jeremy Parquet, DTs Shane Burton, Junior Siavii, and Stephen Williams, S
Scott Connot, WRs Nate Curry and Jeris McIntyre, TE Aaron Golliday, RB Quentin
Griffin and McKenzi Smith, LB Brandon Guillory and William Kershaw, DEs Carlos
Hall, Clint Mitchell, and Zach Ville, C Johnathan Ingram, and CB Chris Johnson.
Analysis: Siavii had been an underachiever since the day they drafted him.
Still, he’ll find a job somewhere. Hall has been injured way too much in the two
years they had him to justify a roster spot. Johnson could find a job as a kick
returner with another team.
Miami Dolphins - Waived
WR Devin Aromashodu, G C.J. Brooks, WR Kelly Campbell (Waived/Injured), WR Fred
Gibson, RB Kay-Jay Harris, TE Keith Heinrich, S Jack Hunt, DE Ben Ishola, TE
Teyo Johnson, CB Shirdonya Mitchell, OT Tony Pape, RB Gerald Riggs, Jr., DT Josh
Shaw, LB Matt Sinclair, CB Chris Thompson, OT Orrin Thompson, WR/QB/ Marcus
Vick. Released FB Fred Beasley, S Deke Cooper, LB Sedrick Hodge, and OT Mike
Pearson. Placed DT Manuel Wright on the Reserve/NFI list (non-football injury).
Placed RB Sammy Morris on the Reserve/Suspended List.
Analysis: Vick was impessive
enough to warrant a practice squad spot. Cooper was running third string.
Veteran LB Keith Newman appears to have won a backup job over Hodge on the
strong side.
Minnesota Vikings - Traded
OL Adam Goldberg to the St. Louis Rams for an undisclosed draft choice. Released
TE Richard Angulo, CB Tony Beckham, WR Josh Davis, LB Rod Davis, RB Adimchinobe
Echemandu, CBs Dustin Fox and Charles Gordon, WRs Ryan Hoag, Chris Jones, and
Kevin Kasper, FB Steven Jackson, G Chris Liwienski, LB Kyle McKenzie, QBs Mike
McMahon and J.T. O'Sullivan, S Willie Offord, C Jason Palermo, OT Donald Penn,
DEs DeQuincy Scott and Khreem Smith, and DT Eric Taylor. Signed WR Todd
Pinkston. Placed CB Devonte Edwards on IR.
Analysis: OT Mike Rosenthal made the
final roster over Goldberg and Liwienski. Both released linemen should be able
to find jobs with other teams in short order. Pinkston will give the team an
additional deep threat at receiver. However, he still needs to prove he’s over
his Achilles injury. During recent practices with the Eagles, he showed that he
still lacked explosion in his routes and getting off of the ball. Scott flashed
some talent earlier in his career with San Diego but struggled with Minnesota.
He still should kind a job. McMahon’s job became expendable after the team
traded for QB Brooks Bollinger.
New England Patriots - Traded RB
Patrick Cobbs to Pittsburgh for an undisclosed draft choice. Released LBs
Monty Beisel, Chad Brown, and
Jeremy Mincey, WRs
Eddie Berlin and
John Stone, QB
Corey Bramlet, TE
Chris Luzar, CBs
Eric Warfield and
Vernell Brown, and DT
Eddie Freeman. Placed LB Barry Gardner on IR. Acquired WR Doug Gabriel from the Oakland Raiders
for an undisclosed draft choice.
Analysis: Beisel was demoted to third string
recently after the team signed veteran LB Junior Seau. Brown is clearly at the
end of the line.
New Orleans Saints – Waived CBs Josh Lay and Grant Mason, LBs Colby Bockwoldt and E.J. Kuale, RB Jamaal Branch, WRs Mike Hass, Chris Horn, and Chase Lyman, TE Zach Hilton, and DT Brandon Villarreal, P Steve Weatherford, QB Adrian McPherson, DT Joe Minucci, DE Javon Nanton, and DE Jimmy Verndon. Released LB Jay Foreman, C Dwayne Ledford, TE Billy Miller, and DT Josh Williams. Placed WR/KR/PR Michael Lewis on PUP. Placed G Jermane Mayberry and LB Tommy Polley on IR.
Analysis: McPherson got hurt and could be re-signed later on. Lewis is a small surprise as it was thought he was close to coming back from a knee injury. Hass and Lyman should find a spot on the practice squad. Hilton wasn't athletic enough to find a roster spot.
New York Giants -
Released WR Willie Ponder, CB Curtis Deloatch, DT Damane Duckett, S Quentin
Harris, S Charlie Peprah, CB Gerrick McPhearson, DEs Eric Moore and Adrian
Awasom, TEs Wade Fletcher and Darcy Johnson, WR Anthony Mix, FB Tony Jackson,
RBs James Sims and Mike Jemison, OLs Kevin McAlmont, Troy Reddick and Todd
Londot, DLs Willie Evans and Marcus Green, and LBs Tyson Smith and Nick McNeil.
OL Matt Lentz was placed on IR.
Analysis: Peprah and McPhearson should find spots on the practice squad along
with Mix. Deloatch started a bunch of games last season and should be able to
find work as a nickel or dime back with another team.
New York Jets – Acquired DE
Bobby Hamilton from the Oakland Raiders for an undisclosed draft pick. Waived OL
Ed Blanton, Marko Cavka, Charles Missant, Steve Morley, Doug Nienhuis and Issac
Snell, WRs Reggie Newhouse, Dante Ridgeway, and Sloan Thomas, TEs Joel Dreessen,
Joe Kowalewski ,and Walter Rasby, RB Stacy Tutt, DLs Darrell Adams, Matt
McChesney, and Brennan Schmidt, LBs Craig Bailey, Blake Costanzo, and Darrell
McClover and DBs Andre Maddox, Ray Mickens, Hank Poteat and Jamie Thompson.
Analysis: The versatile end will provide some badly needed veteran depth. No
surprises here. Dreessen should find a home on the practice squad along with
McClover.
Oakland Raiders – Traded
DE Bobby Hamilton to the New York Jets for an undisclosed draft pick. Reach an
injury settlement with RB Joe Hall. Traded WR Doug Gabriel to the New England
Patriots for an undisclosed draft choice. Waived LB Ricky Brown, WR Will
Buchanon, OT Jabari Levey, DE Bryant McNeal, DT Rashad Moore, C Chris Morris, OT
William Obeng, LB Ryan Riddle, FB Zach Tuiasosopo, DB Alvin Nnabuife, and DT
Donnell Washington. Released LB Danny Clark, G Kelvin Garmon, QB Jeff George, RB
Rod Smart, and CB Duane Starks. Placed LB Darnell Bing, WR Carlos Francis, and
TE O.J. Santiago on IR.
Analysis: The trade of Hamilton leaves them a little thin on depth at end. With
Gabriel gone, WRs Ronald Curry and Jerry Porter move up the depth chart. Curry
seems to be over his Achilles injuries. Buchanon opened some eyes in camp and
should find a spot on the practice squad along with Riddle. Clark’s job became
expendable after they moved second-year LB Kirk Morrison inside. RB Reshard Lee
beat out Smart for a job.
Philadelphia Eagles ––
Reached an injury settlement with LB Greg Richmond. Traded FB Josh Parry to the
Seattle Seahawks for a 2008 draft choice. Traded C Hank Fraley to the Cleveland Browns for a 2008 draft pick. OL Stefan Rodgers and LB Chris Gocong
on IR. Released QB Timmy Chang, LB Torrance Daniels, OL Trey Darilek, WRs Jabar
Gaffney, Darnerian McCants, Michael Gasperson, Justin Jenkins, and Bill Sampy,
DE Darrell Lee, DT Keyonta Marshall, LB Dedrick Roper, S/KR J.R. Reed, TE
Stephen Spach, TE Andy Thorn, and CBs Matt Ware, Donald Strickland, and Dexter
Wynn.
Analysis: Parry was going to be
cut as FB Thomas Tapeh won the starting job. Chang’s job became expendable after
QB A.J. Feeley was signed earlier this week. Gaffney lost the slot/No. 3 job to
rookie WR Jason Avant. McCants lost a roster spot to WR Greg Lewis. Marshall,
Sampy, Jenkins, and Gasperon are candidates for the practice squad. Reed lost
some explosiveness after a he suffered a leg injury in an off the field accident
two years ago and never was the same. The team is very high on rookie C Nick
Cole and his rapid development made Fraley expendable.
Pittsburgh Steelers –
Released WRs Walter Young and Lee Mays, P Mike Barr, QBs Shane Boyd and Omar
Jacobs, DE Orien Harris, RB Cedric Humes, OL Tim Brown, TE Charles Davis, FBs
Branden Joe and John Kuhn, S Mike Lorello, CB Anthony Madison, DE Shaun Nua, DT
Scott Paxson, LB Richard Seigler, LB Ron Stanley, OT Brandon Torrey, and TE John
Dekker . Acquired RB Patrick Cobbs for an undisclosed draft pick. Placed OL
Barrett Brooks on IR.
Analysis: The release of Mays
and Young means veteran WR Quincy Morgan and rookie WR Willie Reid made the
final roster. Boyd or Jacobs could find a spot on the practice squad but for the
time being, the team only has two quarterbacks on the active roster. Humes could
find a spot on the practice squad.
San Francisco 49ers -
Placed CB Vickiel Vaughn on IR. Waived QB Gibran Hamdan, RB/FB Terry Jackson, CB
Derrick Johnson, TE Terry Jones, DE Lance Legree, WRs Otis Amey, Rasheed
Marshall, Marcus Maxwell, and Jason McAddley, LBs Sarth Benoit, Corey Smith, Jim
Maxwell, Bobby Iwuchukwu, CB Kris Richard, G Ben Sobieski, P Tom Rouen, FB Zack
Keasey, DE Scott Scharff, DT Bobby Payne, and OTs Bobby Harris, Sam Wilder, and
Tavares Washington.
Analysis: Marshall could find a
spot on the practice squad. McAddley was a minor surprise. Recently acquired WR
Brandon Jacobs, veteran WR Bryan Gilmore, and rookie WR Brandon Williams beat
out the receivers that were let go. Gilmore played for receivers coach Jerry
Sullivan with Arizona. Legree should find a job with another team that uses the
3-4 scheme.
Seattle Seahawks -
Acquired FB Josh Parry from the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2008 draft pick.
Waived RB Jimmy Dixon, G William Henry, CB Kevin Hobbs, WR C.J. Jones, FB David
Kirtman, QB Travis Lulay, LB Lance Laury, G Jason Murphy, WR Ben Obomanu, DE
Robert Pollard, S Etric Pruitt, CB Gerard Ross, C Pat Ross, TE Leonard Stephens,
WR Justin Surrency, DE John Syptak, RB Marques Weeks, and LB Cornelius Wortham.
Released TE Matt Murphy and WR Peter Warrick.
Analysis: Parry will be their
third fullback, kind of an odd move in reality. Kirtman and Obomanu should find
spots on the practice squad. Young, journeyman WR Maurice Mann won the No. 5 job
over Warrick. Warrick could find a job as a punt returner or slot receiver with
another team.
St. Louis Rams -
Signed RB Stephen Davis. Released CB DeJaun Groce, DT Brian Howard, LB Tim
McGaricle, G Tony Palmer, QB Dave Ragone, TE Jerome Collins, S Deandre’ Eiland,
LB Mike Goolsby, P Andy Groom, TE Alex Holmes, WR Brandon Middleton, G/T Ben
Noll, WR Brad Pyatt, C Donovan Raiola, DE Matthew Rice, WR Clinton Solomon, OT
Drew Strojny, DT Tim Sandidge, WR Dominque Thompson, WR Taylor Stubblefield, and
RBs Fred Russell, Moe Williams, and John David Washington. Reached injury
settlements with LB Trev Faulk and LB Drew Wahlroos.
Analysis: RB Tony Fisher beat
out Williams and Russell for the No. 3 job. Second-year pro Ryan Fitzpatrick won
the No. 3 quarterback job over Ragone. Rookie WR Marques Hagans beat out Pyatt
for the kick return job. Davis will likely take over the No. 2 job. Washington
is the son of actor Denzel Washington.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Released LB Marquis Cooper, WR Edell Shepherd, G Toniu Fonoti, TE Mark Anelli,
DE Charles Bennett, DT Jon Bradley, DT Anthony Bryant, S Steve Cargile, OL
Jonathan Clinkscale, RB Carey Davis, CB Dwight Ellick, WR Chas Gessner, OL Scott
Jackson, TE Tim Massaquoi, S Donte Nicholson, CB James Patrick, FB Rick Razzano,
LB Anthony Trucks, RB Derek Watson, DE Andrew Williams, and DL Keith Wright. OT
Torrin Tucker was placed on IR.
Analysis: Shepherd lost out to
veteran WR David Boston. Bennett, Massaquoi, and Nicholson could find a place on
the practice squad. Fonoti should be able to find a backup job somewhere.
Tennessee Titans -
Released TEs Ben Hall and TE Jamie Petrowski, C Joel Rodriguez, Gs Cody Douglas
and Mike Erickson, OT Brad Rhoades, WRs Tyrone Calico and Grant Mattos, RBs
Quinton Ganther and Jarrett Payton, FB Troy Fleming, QB Matt Mauck, DEs Sean
Conover and Tim Thompson, DT Jeff Littlejohn, DE Copeland Bryan, DT Chris
Herring, CB Keon Raymond, S Antoine Harris, and LBs Terna Nande, Marcus Randall,
and Cody Spencer.
Analysis: The one surprise here is Fleming. Rookie FB Ahmard Hall beat him out
for the lone fullback job. Ganther should find spot on the practice squad. The
oft-injured Calico is too talented not to find a spot on a roster this season.
Washington Redskins -
Released CB Julian Battle, S Curry Burns, DE Nic Clemons, WR Mike Espy, CB John
Eubanks, WR Jimmy Farris, OT Spencer Folau, RB A.J. Harris, WR Steven Harris, OL
Jasper Harvey, LB Spencer Havner, DT Cedric Killings, OL Kili Lefotu, DL Vaka
Manupuna, LB Robert McCune, CB Christian Morton, TE Buck Ortega, OL Chris Pino,
WR Richard Smith, DD Joe Sykes, and FB Manuel White.
Analysis: No surprises at all.
Espy is a candidate for the practice squad and flashed in camp.
