No Offers Yet For Hackett…Yet
Seattle Seahawks restricted free agent WR D.J. Hackett hasn’t received a contract offersheet from another as of Saturday but that doesn’t mean he won’t.
With free agent WR Drew Bennett signing a contract with the St. Louis Rams, that leaves Hackett, Donte’ Stallworth, and Kevin Curtis as the top free agent receivers.

More on Dielman
Not only did league sources believe free agent G Kris Dielman would sign with the Seattle Seahawks, Dielman was still in Seattle this morning when out of the blue, the San Diego Chargers made a significant offer which was very close to what free agent Gs Derrick Dockery and Eric Steinbach received.
According to a league source, when it came down to it, Dielman wanted to remain a Charger if the offer was very close to what the other guards got and as it turned out, it was.
As scout.com first reported, Dielman agreed to a six-year/$40 million deal of which $18 million is guaranteed. Dielman gets $24 million in the first three years of the deal.
Morris Details
Free agent RB Sammy Morris got a four-year deal worth $7 million with the New England Patriots. He'll get $5 million in the first two years of deal.
It’s the second time that the Patriots tried to sign Morris. Prior to signing with the Miami Dolphins prior to the 2004 season, Morris was pursued by New England.
Dillon Interest Heating Up
A league source told scout.com that free agent RB Corey Dillon has received interest from the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, and Philadelphia Eagles so far.
Eagles Looking for a Back?
vWith veteran RB Correll Buckhalter remaining unsigned, the Philadelphia Eagles are clearly in the market for a free agent back.
Philadelphia has shown interest in free agent RBs Sammy Morris and Corey Dillon according to a league source.

UPDATE SATURDAY 2:05 PM EST
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who got jilted by free agent OL Eric Steinbach after he signed with the Cleveland Browns, have strong interest in free agent OT Luke Petitgout.
Petitgout was a surprise released by the New York Giants a few weeks ago.
In a surprise development, the San Diego Chargers have reached a six-year contract agreement to re-sign G Kris Dielman.
Sources with knowledge of the situation, as of Friday evening, told Scout.com that it was highly unlikely the Chargers would re-sign Dielman especially because the Seattle Seahawks were believed to be very serious about signing the free agent lineman.
UPDATE SATURDAY 1:35 PM EST
scout.com was the first to report free agent RB Sammy Morris had drawn interest in free agency from three teams.
On Saturday, Scout.com was the first to report Morris reached a contract agreement with the New England Patriots.
Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, and Philadelphia Eagles also showed interest in the veteran back.
Morris, who is known as one of the league’s best special teams players, should serve as the primary backup to second-year RB Laurence Maroney.

UPDATE 5:50 PM EST
Scout.com has learned that sources close to the situation say they do not expect free agent OL Kris Dielman, who is presently touring the Seattle Seahawks practice facility, to leave Seattle without signing a contract.
It's believed Dielman will be looking to sign for about what G Steve Hutchinson signed for last year.
If for some reason he leaves Seattle without a contract, the Cleveland Browns would be very in the mix.
Although published reports indicate that the San Diego Chargers were hopeful of re-signing Dielman during the regular season, sources say both sides weren't close to an agreement but they're still in the mix to sign him.

Aaron Wilson from ravensinsider.com, part of scout.com, has confirmed free agent OT Tony Pashos has agreed to a five-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Pashos is on his way to Jacksonville to take a team physical. Assuming he passes it, he will sign the contract.
UPDATE 12:08 PM EST
Free agent OL Leonard Davis will be visiting the Dallas Cowboys Friday. That's not exactly a secret.
But TheRanchReport.com, part of the scout.com network, has also learned that Davis will likely visit several other teams, and that at least one of those teams will be a team also in the NFC East, most likely either New York or Washington.
League sources indicated to scout.com Friday that while other media outlets are reporting that all three of the other NFC East East teams have an interest in Davis, it's highly unlikely the Philadelphia Eagles would be interested in him because all five of their starting offensive line jobs appear to be set and they also have several good young backups that they are high on.
UPDATE 11:29 AM EST
Aaron Wilson of scout.com and ravensinsider.com is reporting Denver Broncos free agent offensive lineman Cooper Carlisle is interested again in possibly joining the Baltimore Ravens, but no signing is imminent and no visit is currently planned.
In fact, Carlisle is scheduled to visit the Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins.
UPDATE 11:22 AM EST
As reported first by Scout.com early Friday morning, the Buffalo Bills have reached a contract agreement with free agent OL Jason Whittle.
It was believed Whittle was going to re-sign with the Minnesota Vikings earlier in the week.
What makes Whittle an attractive free agent is that he can play guard, center, or tackle.
UPDATE 11:00 AM EST
The Denver Broncos are working on a deal to trade veteran QB Jake Plummer to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While the trade isn't done yet, league sources indicate that it should be within 24-48 hours.
The market then for free agent QB Jeff Garcia could be down to the Oakland Raiders and Denver who would be looking for a backup to Jay Cutler.
UPDATE 10:52 AM EST
League insiders believe that the San Francisco 49ers have the edge at this point to sign free agent CB Nate Clements over the Cleveland Browns.
Anything can happen and neither team is close to signing him but San Francisco is said to have the edge between both teams.
UPDATE 10:34 AM EST
UPDATE 9:58 AM EST
League insiders believe one of the big reasons why Philadelphia Eagles free agent WR Donte' Stallworth hasn't gotten much interest is there's a belief that he wants too much money up front--thought to be $10-$12 million.
If his price becomes reasonable, the Tennessee Titans or San Francisco 49ers could have some interest in him.
The bottom line is teams are wary of paying players a lot of money if they have a big injury history.
Stallworth has the rare ability to stretch the field better than most receivers but he only had 38 catches last season.
