Adam Koets Q&A Preview
(Don't miss our NFL Draft Q&A feature with Adam Koets this week, a
Scout.com subscribers exclusive!)
Ed Thompson: Adam, tell me a little bit about you out on the football
field. How would you describe your attitude when you're out there?
Adam Koets: I'm a forceful player. I love the game and my attitude is
kind of different in different situations, but overall, I'm kind of an
intellectual guy. I don't really talk a lot of trash. I try to stay away from
that and just think about the next play technique-wise and what the opponent's
doing -- and then try to go out there and beat guys up.
ET: You've been described as a finesse blocker what does that mean to
you?
AK: I think it's a good thing. I have a lot of athletic ability for my
position. There are blocks I can make that other guys can't, and obviously I
play with good technique. So I think that gives me an advantage on a lot of
guys. But I'm also trying to be more physical and dominate more guys, and I
think I was showing I could do that as well, especially towards the end of the
season.
ET: What did you wanted to make sure that the coaches you talked to
at the Combine knew about you?
AK: I think the kind of person I am, my background and how important
football is to me. I'm a good character guy, no off-the-field issues. And my
intelligence and athletic ability are strengths that I bring to the table. I'm a
pretty well-rounded guy, I'm not your typical football player. I do a lot
of different things that kind of set me apart.
