Just one advantage that Jason Snelling has over some of the other running backs in this year's draft is the fact that he has game experience at both the fullback position and the featured running back position. And he's very effective in the passing game as a receiver out of the backfield as well.
So it shouldn't have been a huge surprise that Green Bay sent a team of representatives to the University of Virginia to get a closer look at Snelling. And he found that his experience under Virginia's head coach Al Groh, a former NFL coach, made the interview process much easier.
"We ran an NFL-style offense," he explained. "The difference was in the terminology of what they called it and what we called it. It looked pretty easy, so I'd feel real comfortable going into their system as well as other teams'."
