The 2007 season is bound to be exciting in Tennessee with Brandon Jones, Vince Young and LenDale White determined to form the offensive nucleus of the Titans. Scout.com's Ed Thompson talked to Brandon Jones about his goals and some of his teammates in this exclusive interview.

Titans wide receiver Brandon Jones realizes that with the leaps that Tennessee made during the 2006 season--even with a rookie quarterback leading the offense--the prospects for 2007 are very bright for the Titans if they stay focused and hungry.

"We're growing up and maturing," he noted during a recent Scout Radio interview. "And everybody's saying in the future the Titans will be great--and the future is now."

The six-foot-one, 212-pound receiver bounced back from a rookie season that was abruptly halted by an ACL tear to score four touchdowns, catch 21 first-down passes and average 14.2 yards per catch during his first full season of play in 2006. Jones started in 10 of the team's 16 games and clearly got in sync with rookie quarterback Vince Young as the season progressed. In Week 16 against Buffalo, he caught five passes for 101 yards and then he followed that up by pulling in a 53-yard catch in Week 17 against New England.

Working with a scrambling quarterback like Young is both fun and challenging according to Jones.

"A lot of times, DBs they know what you're doing, they've studied you well," he explained. "But with Vince Young back there they can study all they want, but once he gets to scrambling you're in your own world.

"The DB doesn't know what you're going to do, so that's a great thing Vince Young brings to the table that helps us out."

With the growing anticipation that Jones will earn the No. 1 receiver spot in Tennessee--despite the presence of veteran David Givens--, the 24-year old receiver is in the process of setting some high goals for himself.

"I'm still mulling it over," he said. "I want to double my catches and touchdowns and get better after the catch. I want to be the go-to guy, so my goals will be high."
