North Texas Mean Green
Most of the prospects on the offense are roster fodder. Kevin Galbreath
is a productive ball carrier on the college level, displaying good vision and
toughness on the inside but possesses less than desirable size/speed numbers for
the next level. Tight end Jeff Muenchow is much the same, a hard working
and tough player with limited skills for the next level. Receiver George
Marshall may get a few late round looks with a good campaign in ’02.
Unlike the offensive side of the ball, UNT has a pair of legitimate prospects
on defense. Senior corner Don McGee is an athletic defensive back with
solid technique, size and skills. He is effective backed off the line of
scrimmage and looks as though he could handle dime situations at the next level.
It is unlikely McGee gets drafted but will be signed as a free agent. Defensive
tackle Brandon Kennedy has real talent and potential for the next level….if
you are willing to overlook the fact he barely touches the scale at 5-10. Only a
junior, Kennedy is explosive, relentless and makes plays in every direction.
Were he four inches taller he’s a first day selection but more than likely
falls into the later rounds in ’04.
