After his release from the Ravens earlier this year, veteran offensive guard
Ed Mulitalo explored options with a number of teams who showed interest in him.
And when it was time to decide where he would play in 2007, he chose the Detroit Lions.
"I met with Coach Marinelli and I met with Mike Martz and the staff here,
and I really feel that things can change with the right people and getting this
attitude changed around here," he said during his recent Scout Radio interview. "And I think we have the right guys to do it with."
Mulitalo is settling in fine with his new teammates, and is particularly
excited about one of the Lions' 2007 draft picks - defensive end Ikaika-Alama
Francis out of the University of Hawaii.
A big fan favorite in Baltimore, Mulitalo can't wait to get to know the Detroit
fans better and build a strong relationship with them. During this interview, he
has a special message for Lions fans as he encourages them to feel comfortable
approaching him if they see him out and about. "I'm just an ordinary guy
having an extraordinary experience," he says.
Scout.com subscribers will have a good laugh along with Ed as he explains what
Father's Day means to him. And you'll hear the rest of the reasons why
Detroit seemed like a good fit for him, what he feels one of the keys to the
Lions' success will be this year and more in this 5-minute interview clip. Just
