After not being selected in last Thursday's supplemental draft, an NFC East team inked the former Big 12 lineman.

Scout.com has confirmed the New York Giants have signed former University of Nebraska OL Chris Patrick. The contract calls for league minimum salary. The New York Jets also had strong interest in Patrick yet it was the other inhabitant of the Meadowlands who came to the table with the offer in hand.

Patrick, the Cornhuskers left tackle last season, will add competition to the Giants' offensive line. He's projected to play guard where the team is very thin on depth and young talent.
