Despite reports to the contrary, a league source told Scout.com Wednesday
morning that the Buffalo Bills have made a new contract offer to DT Darwin Walker who they acquired via trade back in March.
Walker wants a new deal and his rights would revert back to the Philadelphia Eagles should he not report to the Bills by August 5. The Eagles would send a sixth-round pick in next year's draft to Buffalo should he not show up by the designated date. Walker has two years left on his contract with base salaries of $1.3 million (2007) and $1.4 million (2008). Buffalo starts training camp on Thursday.
Philadelphia made the decision earlier this year that second-year DT Brodrick Bunkley would move into the starting lineup so if Walker is returned to the Eagles, he would be traded or cut.
The Vikings have their own question marks heading into training camp, but so do each of the other…
