Long-time Pittsburgh Steelers backup C Chukky Okobi is close to finding a new place to play. Another veteran free agent offensive lineman is likely to find a new home as well.
The
Arizona Cardinals
brought in free agent C Chukky Okobi in for a physical Tuesday and a league source indicated he passed it. The veteran offensive lineman was released by the
Pittsburgh Steelers
earlier this month and signed a one-year deal with Arizona.
The Cardinals lost starting C
Al Johnson
to a knee injury during Monday night's loss at the
San Francisco 49ers
.
As expected, the re-signed veteran OL Brad Badger who they released on Monday.
The team is high on rookie C Lyle Sendlein who could start this week's game.
Elsewhere, the
St. Louis Rams
are expected to sign free agent OT
Brandon Gorin
who worked out for the team on Tuesday.
Gorin was released by the Arizona Cardinals earlier this month.
