QUARTERBACKS
Drew Brees is back to form and gearing the Saints toward the NFC playoffs...his nearly 450 passing yards and 3 TDs in week 9 were continued music to the ears of loyal Brees fantasy owners who stuck with him after the rocky start of the season. All Big Ben Roethlisberger does is throw TDs...the 5 TDs on MNF against the Ravens put Roeth at 20 for the season (in just 8 games). Tony Romo and the Cowboys continue to roll - Romo threw for over 300 yards and 3 TDs in the rout over the Eagles. It took until the 4th quarter to get it going, but Tom Brady came back and produced a win for the Patriots and 3 TDs for his FFL owners. Brett Favre was magic again in week 9 to move the Packers to an incredible record of 7-1. The Jags' Quinn Gray just isn't that good, but he can toss the bomb...Gray threw for 354 yards and 2 TDs in week 9 (while representing a spot on less than 1% of starting fantasy rosters). The Seahawks' Shaun Alexander has fallen off, but QB Matt Hasselbeck has surged recently...H-beck tossed for 2 TDs and 318 yards on the road against the Browns. Cincy's Carson Palmer continues to produce some nice stats while piling up the losses for the Bengals. Jon Kitna produced a couple of scores for the grooving Lions. Cleveland's Derek Anderson threw for over 300 passing yards, but wasn't able to thread any of his 29 completions for scores.

RUNNING BACKS
It's official! - SuperRookie Adrian Peterson is the top FFL RB in the NFL. Peterson went off on Sunday against a decent Chargers' D for 296 (TWO HUNDRED NINETY SIX) rushing yards and 3 TDs...wow! Jamal Lewis ran for a remarkable 4 TDs against the Seahawks. But with the Peterson performance, Lewis had to play second fiddle. Joseph Addai produced 226 total yards with a score in a top performance by Addai and the Colts...but the Pats came from behind in the 4th quarter to gain the win. Marshawn Lynch would be unanimous for "rookie of the year" in any other season...Lynch put up 153 rushing yards and two scores against the lowly Jets in week 9 (and one of his scores was a pass!?!). Clinton Portis had a huge game on Sunday with 196 rushing yards and a TD. Reggie Bush used his versatility to put up over 100 total yards and 2 TDs. Larry Johnson also scored 2 TDs in week 9, but LJ suffered an injury that may keep him out of the lineup for a week or more. Speaking of versatility, Brian Westbrook put up 65 rushing yards to go along with his 90 receiving yards (on 14 receptions!)...and also made it into the endzone on the losing end of the rout against the Cowboys in week 9. Earnest Graham had his best game of his career with 137 total yards and a score for the Bucs. Ron Dayne and Justin Fargas may seem like NFL fill-ins, but each produced around 120 yards and a score in week 9. Marion Barber, LenDale White, and Warrick Dunn all had over 100 total yards and a TD on Sunday. Kenny Watson gained over 90% of his 100+ yards in the passing game on Sunday, but Watson was kept out of the endzone.

WIDE RECEIVERS
Terrell Owens has been a little overshadowed by Randy Moss' amazing performances this season, but Owens lit up his former team for 10 grabs and 174 yards (plus a score) to finish at the top of fantasy wide receivers for week 9. Santonio Holmes caught 2 of Roethlisberger's 5 TDs on MNF...Holmes also had 110 receiving yards in the blowout over the Ravens. Lee Evans is finally producing according to preseason expectations (but too bad he waited this long to get it going...Evans caught 9 for 165 yards and a TD from QB J.P. Losman in the Buffalo win. Greg Jennings caught 2 TDs from Brett Favre in week 9. Randy Moss may be 5th in WR stats this week, but he still caught 9 balls for 145 yards and a TD...simply an unbelievable season for Moss. Bobby Engram and Reggie Williams aren't exactly fantasy stars, but each had around 130 yards to go with a TD on Sunday (Engram had a whopping 14 receptions). Nate Washington caught 2 of Big Ben's 5 TDs on MNF. Marques Colston had another big week for the Saints...Colston caught 10 for 159 yards, but was kept out of the endzone. Wes Welker, Joey Galloway, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, David Patten, and Shaun McDonald all had around 80 yards with a TD in week 9. Jerricho Cotchery added 11 rushing yards to his 90 scoreless receiving yards for the Jets.

TIGHT ENDS
Tony Gonzalez is playing like it's 2003...Gonzo busted out for another 10 receptions for over 100 yards and a TD on Sunday. The Cowboys' Jason Witten is having a career year...Witten had 77 yards with a TD against the Eagles in week 9 on SNF. Kellen Winslow may have blown a couple of touchdown opportunities against the Seahawks, but his 11 receptions for 125 yards wasn't too shabby regardless of the scoring miss. Robert Royal and Heath Miller each got into the endzone. Donald Lee, Billy Miller, and Vernon Davis were all held scoreless, but each managed 70+ yards in receptions.

Losman seemingly played well enough to keep his starting job in week 10 against the Miami Dolphins - coach Dick Jauron is expected to announce his starter by mid-week...Bengals talented WR Chris Henry has served his suspension and will play in week 10...WR Chad Johnson was carted off the field on a stretcher on Sunday as result of a neck injury - Johnson's status for week 10 is not totally certain, but has not yet been ruled out...Falcons QB Byron Leftwich and TE Alge Crumpler could play in week 10 - status for each should be known by Wednesday...RB LaMont Jordan started off with a bang, but has fallen out of favor in Oakland...With all the talk of Tom Brady's amazing 33 passing TDs through 9 games, Ben Roethlisberger has quietly thrown 20 TDs through 8...Larry Johnson was banged up in week 9 and may miss a week or two - Priest Holmes is waiting in the wings, but coach Herm Edwards won't guarantee over 15 carries for "The Priest" if LJ is unable to go in week 10
