Scouting Report:
The
Good: Hard-working, game
breaking skill player that impacts the game as both a receiver and return specialist.
Fast, accelerates down the flanks and quick running to daylight if
given any open space on the field.
Looks the pass into his hands, adjusting to the oncoming throw and
reaching back to grab the errant pass.
Comes back the the ball out of his breaks or works his way back to the quarterback if the
play breaks down, always trying to make himself an available target.
Catches the pass in stride and loses no momentum running down the field if making the deep reception.
Works to pick up positive yardage running after the catch. Terrific
body control, sense of timing and overall football awareness.
The
Bad: Lacks
the second gear and has a slight build.
Out-positioned or out-muscled by bigger opponents and does not
posses the strong hands.
Started off like a house on fire during the first game of the 2002 season but injured his knee and has since decided to take a red-shirt year.
The
Skinny: Carried late first round grades coming into the season
and should do as well, if not better, entering 2003.
