QUARTERBACKS
Tony Romo raised the bar on Thursday night with 4 TDs on 300+ yards...nobody was able to top Romo's numbers thorughout the weekend. Peyton Manning had potentially his best game of the season against nemesis Jacksonville on Sunday...Manning threw for nearly 300 yards and 4 TDs in the win for the Colts. An ailing Marc Bulger yielded the reigns to Gus Frerotte on Sunday...and Frerotte knew what to do with them while throwing for 3 TDs and 311 yards for the surging Rams. Ben Roethlisberger tossed for only 184 yards in another night mud-bowl in Pittsburgh, but he was able to convert 2 of this passes for TDs (and ran for another) as the Steelers came back to beat the Bengals. Luke McCown came from nowhere to throw for 313 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Derek Anderson had another fine effort for the Browns. The shuffle in Oakland makes for a tough fantasy play, but it was Josh McCown this past weekend with 3 scores. David Garrard and Tom Brady each had 257 passing yards and 2 TDs...although the Garrard effort may have been a little more impressive on paper with over 80% of his passes completed vs. less than 50% completed for Brady. Vince Young came through with some decent yardage and a couple of TDs for those fantasy owners who started him against Houston.

LaDainian Tomlinson busted it on Sunday for 177 rushing yards and a couple of touchdowns. SuperRookie Adrian Peterson returned after 2 weeks off to heal a torn knee...Peterson was successful with over 100 rushing yards and 2 TDs. Leon Washington scored a couple of TDs on Sunday on only 12 touches. Willis McGahee and the Ravens snatched defeat from the hands of victory on Monday Night Football...McGahee put up 159 total yards and a TD in the effort. Ryan Grant has a couple of TDs in a losing effort in Dallas. Earnest Graham has been hot lately and is showing why the Bucs need to consider him as their primary back form this point forward. As always, Brian Westbrook utilized his versatility and put up 139 yards with a TD. Ron Dayne started another week for the Texans and scored on 111 yards. Travis Henry was cleared to play and responded with 2 TDs for the Broncos. Thomas Jones made it and even 100 with a TD in the Jets win over the Dolphins. Carolina backfield duo DeShaun Foster and DeAngelo Williams combined for over 220 yards and a TD. Fred Jackson didn't make it ino the endzone, but he did put up a buck-fifty in yardage. Adrian Peterson (number 2) had similar numbers to Jackson in his first start for the Bears (stemming from the injury to Cedric Benson). Chester Taylor and Jamal Lewis each pleased their fantasy owners with a score apiece on 80+ yards. Laurence Maroney, Jerious Norwood, Edgerrin James, Frank Gore, and Willie Parker all put up some decent yardage, but none of the players were able to make it into the endzone.

WIDE RECEIVERS
Reggie Wayne and Terrell Owens are two of the most productive wide receivers in the NFL...and each put up 150+ yards with a TD on Sunday. Pittsburgh WR Hines Ward may someday be in the NFL, but right now he's still putting up quality stats for the Steelers...Ward caught 11 balls on SNF - 2 of them for TDs. Braylon Edwards is continuing his stellar 2007 season...Edwards had 149 yards and a TD for the Browns on Sunday. Roddy White is emerging as a top target and making his way onto fantasy rosters...White put up 146 yards on 10 catches in week 13 (with a TD). Torry Holt caught 135 yards worth of balls from replacement QB Gus Frerotte. Andre Johnson and Kevin Curtis each had 110+ yards receiving with a TD this past weekend. It was T.O. throughout the first half in Dallas on Thursday night...but it was Patrick Crayton in the 2nd half (with 2 TDs) as the Packers heavily covered Owens as the game progressed. Joey Galloway had huge numbers for the Bucs in week 13, but was held without a TD. Greg Jennings caught 5 balls for 87 yards and a TD in the Green Bay loss to Dallas. Brandon Stokley had some nice yardage from QB Jay Cutler, but Stokley was unable to find the endzone.

TIGHT ENDS
With the lingering injury to Marvin Harrison, it's Dallas Clark who has stepped up and received the bulk of Manning's passes...Clark caught 7 for 60 yards and 2 TDs against Jax on Sunday. Tony Gonzalez just keeps on chuggin'...Gonzo caught 10 balls for 140 yards in week 13 for the Chiefs. Desmond Clark put up 76 yards and a TD for the Bears. Zach Miller and Marcedes each scored a TD on Sunday. Chris Cooley, Jason Witten, and Alge Crumpler all had nice yardage, but none of the trio was able to make it across the goalline.

News and Notes - Adrian Peterson and Adrian Peterson both share the same name, position, conference, and division (Vikings and Bears)...Peterson (Vikings) was back on the field and looking like he hadn't missed a beat this past Sunday after missing just two weeks with a torn knee - all while Peterson (Bears) assumed the starting role for the Bears and put up some really nice numbers in a superb effort...New England wrestled victory from defeat on MNF - no way should the Pats have won that game, but had the breaks going for them in the 4th quarter...Fantasy speaking for New England, the Pats could wrap things up in a couple of weeks (making weeks 16 and 17 insignificant) - fortunately for fantasy owners, Tom Brady is going after a passing TD record and head coach Bill Belichick is greedy and may leave his starters in the lineup longer than most...The Miami Dolphins may actually go winless in 2007...Lions WR Roy Williams has a sprained PCL and may be done for the regular season...Marvin Harrison's status is similar to that of ROY - but Harrison will likely return for any Colts playoff games...Anquan Boldin has a broken toe and will miss some time, but will likely return to the field within the next couple of weeks
