Evans, the school's career receiving leader,
has not stated publicly as to whether or not he will take a red-shirt season
then return to Wisconsin next year or make himself eligible for the NFL draft
next April.
TFY Analysis: We've felt all
along playing would be a
mistake and this is the best thing for Evans. He can further enhance
the situation by returning to Madison in 2003 and have a knockout senior
campaign. With the impending availability of four terrific underclassmen
wide outs, coupled with the knee injury, Evans would have slipped mightily down
draft boards and lost a lot of money. A big season at Wisconsin in
2003 will quickly change that.
