Scouting
Report:
The
Good: Athletic, pass
catching tight end that makes a lot of plays into the defensive secondary.
Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, solid route runner and
works his ways back to the quarterback, making himself an available target when the signal
caller is in trouble. Solid receiver that uses excellent pass catching techniques throughout
the game; extends his hands, looks the ball in and snatches the throw cleanly out of the
air, keeping the pass away from his frame. Makes
the reception in stride and keeps the play in-bounds, working to pick up positive yardage running after the catch.
Reportedly runs under a 4.7 for the clock. Makes the difficult reception in traffic
and takes it deep. Sings
an outstanding version of our National Anthem (sorry, I had to!).
The
Bad: Quick into his blocks but lacks strength at the point and cannot
sustain.
The
Skinny: A player with a large amount of upside to his game and to this point reminds us of
Jeremy Shockey; excellent receiving threat that must improve his blocking.
