This year's group of safeties is nowhere near the depth of talent that was available in last year's draft.'s Chris Steuber previews the safeties who will compete for draft positioning in Indy at the NFL Scouting Combine.

1. *Kenny Phillips, FS, Miami, 6-2, 208 Draft Projection: 1st Round The best safety in a weak class, Phillips is the only first-round talent among the group. He had a good season this past year, but he was more productive as a sophomore. Phillips finished his junior campaign with 82 tackles, six for a loss and two interceptions.
