The Miami Hurricanes always offer terrific pro-prospects on the defensive line; great athletes with a ton of upside potential as they develop into football players and defenders that continually blow plays up in the opponents backfield. That is a very good way to characterize Andrew Williams. *Photo Courtesy of Getty Images*

Scouting Report

The Good:  Athletic prospect that continually improves the more playing experience he receives.  Breaks down well, plays low with leverage and effectively uses his hands to keep blockers away.  Displays excellent range; quick if asked to twist or stunt, pursues the action then catches the ball carrier from the backside and effective off the line of scrimmage playing in space.  Gets a lot of upfield force and momentum going.

The Bad: Lacks the great first step, strength as well as lineman's size.  Handled by opposing tight ends at the point and easily ridden out of his attack angle.  Another Hurricane lineman that makes a lot of plays up the field and rushes the passer with great success.

The Skinny: May never be a force defending the run but a pass rush specialist early in his career that will develop into the position.
