The Titans overall organization is a very functional unit and clearly from top to bottom the very best in professional football. Who are the people who make up this group? Former scout Tom Marino takes a look and shares it with the readers at scout.com.

Comments: In spite of their undefeated playing record, personnel wise this Titans clubs does not have near the talent as a number of top teams within the league. On the field they are led by a journeyman quarterback, a rookie running back, a group of no-name receivers and an offensive line with includes two free agents and a 4th and 7th round selection, but as I have stated many times over the last two years, they have the best coaching staff in the professional game. They are first and foremost teachers and the proof is in the fact that most of their position players have shown consistent improvement

Mike Reinfeldt, the teams’ Executive VP and General Manager has done a commendable job of assimilating himself into the Titans system. I felt he was clearly the leagues’ best cap man with the Seahawks and the former Oilers defensive back, hasn’t missed a beat since being named to the position.

Jeff Fisher has like most coaches within the league has proven to have the ability to win, when given top personnel at many critical positions, but what makes him different is his ability to win when presented with less than top personnel. Assistants Mike Munchak, Dave McGinnis, Chuck Cecil and Jim Washburn are just four of the many top assistants on this first rate staff.

I had the pleasure of working with scouts Mike Ackerley and Phil Neri, and can’t think of many people within the league who I respect more within the league. National Supervisor of college scouting, C.O. Bracato is a talented evaluator with the energy of a person a third of his age.

I really like this club and the people and the people who have got them to this point, but I just don’t believe they have the stuff to sustain this effort for the second half and beyond.
