Scouting
Report
The
Good:
Quick,
speedy linebacker effective defending the pass or stopping the run.
Immediately reads or
anticipates the action, disciplined and does not get caught out of position.
Explosive
up the field, flashes on the scene and has a nose for the football.
Scrapes
well laterally, stays on his feet and takes good angles to the action.
Displays
excellent range, easily runs with tight ends or running backs in pass coverage
and shows good wherewithal throughout the game.
The
Bad:
Undersized,
gets caught up in the traffic and has tackles broken.
Adequate
defending
the pass but must improve his instincts when the ball is in the air.
The
Skinny:
Physically
not ready for the next level and may always have problems because of growth
limitations but will be a productive linebacker in the NFL if placed in the right
scheme. Plays the middle in
college but could project to the weak-side at the next
level.
