Heady defenders with good instincts and a feel for the game; that's the way Bob Stoops wants his linebackers and leaders on defense to be at OU and that's exactly what Teddy Lehman is turning out to be.

Full Name: Teddy Lehman     School: Oklahoma

Ht: 6-1     Wt: 230          40: 4.75

Year: 3Jr      Number: 11

Stats/ Bio

2001: Started 11 regular season games and the bowl game, totaling 83/10/2 and one interception return for a touchdown.

2000: Played in 12 games mainly on special teams and served as Torrance Marshall's backup at middle linebacker

Scouting Report

The Good: Tough, heady linebacker that can be used on the inside or at outside linebacker. Smart, instinctive and does a terrific job diagnosing plays before they unfold.  Quick filling the gaps in run defense, finds his way through the traffic and squares into the ball carrier, wrapping up.  Effectively uses his hands to stay off blocks.

The Bad: Some speed to the flanks but only a short burst that cannot be sustained.  Lacks overall range and struggles in anything other than zone coverage defending the pass.

The Skinny: Reminds us a lot of Rocky Calmus to this point in his career.
