OT Vernon Carey: Breaking Down Carey's Deal

According to a league source, here are some highlight's of the six-year deal Miami Dolphins OT Vernon Carey agreed to on Friday:

- $18.9 million over the first two years of the deal.

- $15 million in the first year ($12 million signing bonus/$800,000 base salary/$200,000 workout bonus/$2 million roster bonus).

- One of the underrated results of this deal is that Florida has no state taxes, so Carey saves about an extra 13%.

- Carey becomes the highest paid right tackle in the NFL.
