The Houston Texans placed the highest restricted tender (first and third
round) on TE Owen Daniels, Scout.com has confirmed. Daniels will
receive the one-year tender level at $2.792 million.
Should another team sign Daniels to an offer sheet and Houston decided not to
match, the Texans would be entitled to first and third round picks as
compensation from that team.
The former fourth-round pick out of the 2006 draft caught a career-high 70
passes last season along and posted 862 yards.
Daniels was named as a Pro Bowl replacement for TE Antonio Gates.
