Scouting the San Fran Bowl
SF Bowl

A late season collapse knocked Virginia Tech out of the New Year's Day games while the same can be said for Air Force, who was highly ranked until Notre Dame handed them a big loss in October. A lot of solid pro-prospects for the Hokies, then again a lot of terrific young American officers donning the Air Force uniform.

Where will running back Lee Suggs end up in April?  Mid first round?  Top of the second frame?  He has early first round running skills but two things will dictate how high Suggs is drafted; the health of his knee and the ability to catch the ball in the post season.  Safety Willie Pile is moving up draft boards as he's learning to become more than just a devastating run defender and did a solid job in pass coverage this season.  Lineman Anthony Davis is a nice athlete but out of position at tackle and will be a good late round choice who could develop into a starter once he's kicked inside to guardJames Davis is turning into a complete defensive end  that fiercely rushes the passer and also defends the run.  An underclassmen prospect, he'll be highly ranked next year.  Keep an eye on Terrell Parham, a developing young receiver.
