North
Carolina St
In just his second
year at the helm Chuck Amato took the Pack to new heights and the best talent
looks as though its' returning. For all the unorthodox throwing motions,
deliveries and unsound fundamentals, quarterback
Philip
Rivers is a productive passer that wins. He's got decent arm
strength and has already stated he will stay around for his senior campaign.
Jerricho
Cotchery offers Rivers a solid pass
catcher target and looks similar
in style to Koren Robinson minus the speed and explosion. Safety Terrance
Holt is tough and disciplined but lacks the pure speed for centerfield.
He will earn his wage at the next level on special teams, where he is
fantastic.
Notre
Dame
A new coach works
wonders and so it did for Notre Dame when Tyrone Willingham took over and got
this team to play up to its' level. Center
Jeff Faine
is one of ND's better pro-prospects and a hard working lineman on the pivot that
plays all out every down. He lacks the size to domntate and is not all
that athletic. Offensively tackle/guard
Jordan
Black has been suspended from the contest and as of now, looks like a
late round choice. We like the development of
receiver Arnaz
Battle but he needs a good post season to hear his name called in the
middle rounds. Tom
Lopienski
is solid at fullback
but not outstanding in any area. Cedric
Hilliard and Darrell Campbell are solid junior prospects at
defensive
tackle while Courtney
Watson is a productive linebacker that may be best in a three-four
scheme. Cornerback
Shane
Walton is a big play corner that could break into the first day if
scouts overlook his occasional lapse which results in big plays while Vontez
Duff is really developing into a very good defensive back.
