Arizona Cardinals
Atlanta Falcons
Monday: Waived S Eric Brock, waived DE Maurice Lucas.
Thursday: Signed WR Brian Finneran to a contract extension.
Comments: Finneran gives the team some veteran depth in back of starters Roddy
White and Michael Jenkins.
Baltimore Ravens
Buffalo Bills
Carolina Panthers
Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals
Friday: Agreed to contract terms with K Dave Rayner.
Comments: Rayner's agent, Paul Sheehy, said Rayner agreed to contract terms with
the Bengals on Friday. He's currently the only kicker under contract that the
Bengals have on their 80-man roster.
Cleveland Browns
Monday: Released WR Donte' Stallworth, signed CB John Bowie. Stallworth was
reinstated from his suspension.
Comments: No surprise with Stallworth's release. He was overpaid from the start
and has been a classic underachiever over his career. Still, he turns just 30 in
November, so he may have some productive years left as a bench player with a
team that's looking for a speed receiver.
Dallas Cowboys
Denver Broncos
Monday: Signed RB Bruce Hall.
Detroit Lions
Tuesday: Signed RB DeDe Dorsey. CB Eric King's one-game suspension was lifted.
Comments: Dorsey worked out for the Philadelphia Eagles a few weeks ago. A
source said that he didn't look as fast as usual, so the team passed on signing
him. However, Dorsey looks fast on tape and could offer the Lions a change of
pace element to their running game.
Green Bay Packers
Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts
Wednesday: Signed the following free agents: QB Drew Willy, WRs Taj Smith and
John Matthews, G Jaimie Thomas, LB Brandon Renkart, and CB Terrail Lambert.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Thursday: Released the following players: WR Torry Holt, OT Tra Thomas, and DL
Rob Meier.
Comments: Holt clearly has lost a step, so it's not surprising the Jaguars
declined to pay him his base salary of $4.45 million for 2010. Holt was signed
through 2011. He's best suited for a No. 3 role at this point in his career.
Meier spent 2009 on IR and carried a base salary of $2.25 million for 2010. He
was signed through 2012.
Thomas signed a three-year deal with the team back in March of last year. He
only appeared in eight games and started three. He carried a base salary of $2.3
million for 2010. The team saved $9 million for the 2010 by releasing all three
players.
Kansas City Chiefs
Monday: Waived LB Justin Rogers, waived LB Wes Dacus.
Miami Dolphins
Wednesday: Waived WR Brennan Marion,
Thursday: Reinstated TE Sir Vincent Rogers from Reserve/Retired list.
Comments: Marion failed the team physical (knee).
Minnesota Vikings
New England Patriots
New Orleans Saints
Friday: Signed the following players to reserve/future contracts: WR Matt Simon,
TE Tyler Lorenzen, DT Jermey Parnell, CB Greg Fassitt
New York Giants
Monday: Claimed OT Herb Taylor off waivers from Denver Broncos.
Thursday: Released MLB Antonio Pierce.
Comments: With the veteran Pierce out of the picture, backup LB Jonathan Goff is
next up to replace him. Goff finished the regular season as the starter after
Pierce went on IR with a neck injury. Pierce carried a base salary of $4.75
million--the final year of his contract. Pierce, according to a league source,
failed a team physical.
New York Jets
Friday: Signed the following players to reserve/future contracts: FS Brannon
Condren, WR Britt Davis, FB Jason Davis, OT Dan Gay, WR Marcus Henry, DT Matt
Kroul, C Michael Parenton, LS Tanner Purdum, and DT Ty Steinkuhler.
Comments: The Jets actually signed Purdum last week, a source said.
Oakland Raiders
Philadelphia Eagles
Pittsburgh Steelers
Monday: Signed P Adam Graessle to reserve/future contract.
Tuesday: Signed WR Brandon London to reserve/future contract.
Saturday: Signed LB Renauld Williams to reserve/future contract.
Comments: The first two players worked out for the team a few weeks ago. London
has good size and could push for a spot at the bottom of the receiver depth
chart.
San Diego Chargers
Tuesday: Signed LB Darry Beckwith.
San Francisco 49ers
Seattle Seahawks
Wednesday: Signed LS Matt Overton.
Friday: Signed LS Patrick McDonald, agreed to contract terms with DE Ricky
Foley.
Comments:
Foley, according to a pro personnel source, is known as a decent edge rusher
with raw skills. Malone's agent, J.R. Rickert, confirmed via his Twitter account
that Malone signed with the Seahawks.
St. Louis Rams
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tennessee Titans
Monday: Claimed LB Pago Togafau off waivers from Arizona Cardinals.
Washington Redskins
Friday: Signed K Justin Medlock.
