Arizona Cardinals
Monday: Signed DT Keilen Dykes.
Comments: He's basically a practice squad candidate. He spent time on their
practice squad last season.
Atlanta Falcons
Baltimore Ravens
Buffalo Bills
Carolina Panthers
Chicago Bears
Monday: Signed TE Richard Angulo and WR Eric Peterman.
Comments: Angulo played under Bears OL coach Mike Tice with the Jaguars and
Vikings, previously.
Cincinnati Bengals
Cleveland Browns
Dallas Cowboys
Denver Broncos
Tuesday: Released C Casey Wiegmann, released RB LaMont Jordan.
Comments: Wiegmann's release comes as a surprise considering the team signed him
to a one-year extension last June through the 2010 season. His replacement
probably is not on their current 80-man roster. Jordan's release comes as no
surprise considering he only had 25 carries last season.
Detroit Lions
Tuesday: Released DE Jared DeVries.
Comments: The veteran defensive lineman's contract was up after 2010. DeVries
had a small roster bonus of $400,00 coming up, a source said.
Green Bay Packers
Monday: Re-signed CB Derrick Martin.
Wednesday: Placed non-exclusive franchise tag on DT Ryan Pickett.
Comments: A source said Martin signed a two-year deal with $355,000 guaranteed.
Pickett will earn a one-year guaranteed base salary of $7.003 million this
season as a franchise player.
Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts
Jacksonville Jaguars
Monday: Re-signed TE Ernest Wilford.
Comments: He was set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 5.
Kansas City Chiefs
Wednesday: Released G Mike Goff, re-signed RB Kolby Smith, re-signed QB Matt
Gutierrez.
Comments: Goff struggled with injuries last season and probably will be a backup
if he wants to continue his career. Smith and Gutierrez were scheduled to become
restricted free agents in March.
Miami Dolphins
Minnesota Vikings
Sunday: Re-signed WR Greg Lewis.
New England Patriots
Monday: Named DT Vince Wilfork franchise player.
Wednesday: Signed WR David Patten.
Comments: Unless the team can reach a long-term deal with him, Wilfork will earn
a guaranteed base salary of $7.003 million for 2010.
Patten, who turns in August, didn't play in 2009. He did have a workout with the
Colts in September. Patten, much earlier in his career, was actually one of the
NFL's fastest receivers. He'll compete for a backup with the Patriots.
New Orleans Saints
Monday: Signed FB Zak Keasey.
New York Giants
New York Jets
Tuesday: Signed K Nick Folk, signed OT Michael Turkovich.
Comments: Folk is currently the only kicker that the Jets have on their 80-man
roster. Veteran K Jay Feely remains unsigned.
Oakland Raiders
Thursday: Placed exclusive franchise tag on DE Richard Seymour.
Comments: Under the exclusive franchise tag, a player is offered a minimum of
the average of the top five salaries at the player's position for the current
year as of April 15, 2010 or 120 percent of the player’s previous year’s salary,
or the average of the top five salaries at his position as of the end of last
season – whichever of the three is greater. The average of the top five salaries
at his position at the end of last season is $12.398 million.
Philadelphia Eagles
Pittsburgh Steelers
Thursday: Re-signed DT Casey Hampton, placed non-exclusive franchise tender on K
Jeff Reed.
Comments: Hampton re-signed for three years. They had little choice but to
re-sign him. They had no viable replacement for him on their current 80-man
roster. Reed will receive a guaranteed one-year base salary of $2.814 million on
the franchise tender.
San Diego Chargers
Monday: Released RB LaDainian Tomlinson.
Comments: No surprise there. His play the past few seasons had regressed
significantly. As previously noted, Tomlinson still is owed $1 million in fully
guaranteed base salary.
San Francisco 49ers
Tuesday: Named DT Aubrayo Franklin (non-exclusive) franchise player.
Comments: The move was expected all along based on his importance to the team.
Seattle Seahawks
Wednesday: Placed non-exclusive franchise tag on K Olindo Mare.
Comments: Mare will earn a guaranteed one-year base salary of $2.814 million.
St. Louis Rams
Friday: Signed WR Travis Brown.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tennessee Titans
