Players Added
Brandon Marshall/WR - They have landed the kind of impact receiver that
has been missing in their passing game. If Marshall stays out of trouble, he'll
be worth what they gave up for him.
Richie Incognito/G - With starting G Justin Smiley's future with the
team up in the air, Incognito will have another chance to resurrect his career.
Karlos Dansby/LB - What's really interesting about Dansby is that you can move
him around. He'll fit in quite well in Miami's 3-4 defensive scheme.
Players Lost
Joey Porter/LB - While he got under the coach staff's skin, Porter still
is a quality pass rusher. Whether the Cardinals are expecting him to participate
in 50-60 plays a game remains to be seen.
Akin Ayodele/LB - Dansby will take his place.
Jason Taylor/LB - It remains to be seen if he'll be back, but if he's not, the
team will need to add a pass rusher or two out of this year's draft. Cameron Wake will undoubtedly see more than the 16 percent of the defensive snaps he saw
last season. But is he ready for a major role?
Nathan Jones/CB - He filled in capably in a nickel role and played in over 43
percent of the defensive snaps.
Gibril Wilson/S - His inconsistent play and high base salary got him jettisoned.
Pre-Draft Team Needs
Outside Linebacker - With Porter out of the picture and possibly Taylor,
the Dolphins need major pass-rushing help.
Wide Receiver - Despite getting Marshall in the fold, the team still needs to
find an upgrade on the other side.
Free Safety - With Wilson gone, the team must find his replacement.
