Alge Crumpler/TE - The veteran tight end has been used mostly as a blocker in recent seasons. He's almost a third tackle.
David King/P - The former Australian rules football player is currently the only punter on New England's 80-man roster.
Damione Lewis/DL - He'll probably play end in New England's 3-4 defense.
Marques Murrell/LB - Murrell figures to see most of his playing time on special teams.
Chris Taylor/RB - He hasn't played since 2008.
Ben Watson/TE - For whatever reason, his role diminished over the years. Hopefully, the Cleveland Browns will use him more as a receiver than New England did.
Chris Baker/TE - The journeyman tight end found a job with the Seattle Seahawks.
Chris Hanson/P - It will be interesting to see if the team looks to re-sign him at a later date since they have no viable replacement.
Jarvis Green/DE - The veteran defender signed with the Denver Broncos. Mike Wright is his likely replacement.
Derrick Burgess/DE-LB - The fact that he was able to play in a 3-4 scheme last season could make him an attractive depth option to teams as we get closer to the start of training camps.
Junior Seau/LB - He has finally decided to retire.
Pre-Draft Team Needs
Wide Receiver - It's hard to run a spread offense without enough receivers. They need to probably at two good young receivers out of this draft. With WR Wes Welker coming off major knee surgery, the team will also need to add more depth.
Tight End - Crumpler is more of a blocker than a receiver at this point in his career. The team only has two undrafted free agents in back of him.
Outside Linebacker - With rumors still swirling that the team will wind up releasing veteran OLB Adalius Thomas, the team will need to add at least a few good young pass rushers out of this draft.
