Comments: Calloway, who signed a four-year deal, is capable of playing guard or
tackle.
Moats and Brown signed four-year deals.
Moats will likely wind up playing OLB, but he's been lining up inside during
recent OTA practices.
Brown will challenge for the No. 3 QB role this year, but he could move up the
depth chart in year two.
Carolina Panthers
Tuesday: Re-signed LB Thomas Davis, re-signed CB Richard Marshall.
Comments: Both players signed their one-year RFA tenders. Davis wound up tearing
his right ACL again in his right knee and will likely miss the entire 2010
season.

Comments: Mitchell has a chance to handle the third DT job with the Texans if he
has a strong preseason. With the Moats' release, the third RB job comes down to
Arian Foster and Chris Henry.
Daniels signed his one-year RFA tender. Sharpton, who signed a four-year deal,
figures to compete for playing time on the weak-side.

Friday: Re-signed S Antoine Bethea.
Comments: Brandstater was waived by Denver last Friday. According to a league
source, no other teams put in a waiver claim for him. Brandstater will compete for the
No. 2 QB job with the Colts.
Bethea signed his one-year RFA tender, but the team was working on a long-term
deal with him.

Comments: It's surprising that the 49ers had been holding a roster
spot this offseason for a player who they didn't plan on keeping.

signed UDFA DT Barrett Moen, signed UDFA DE Will Tukuaku, waived TE Michael

Comments: Davis, if he has a strong preseason, would have an excellent chance to
make the team because Seattle is very light on depth at DE.
Konz is attempting to make the transition from playing WR in college.
St. Louis Rams
Monday: Acquired WR Isaac Bruce from the San Francisco 49ers.
Thursday: Signed DT Chris Hovan.
Comments: It will be interesting to see if Bruce can make it in the Pro Football Hall
of Fame.
Hovan will give the team solid veteran depth for the interior of their defensive
line.
