QUARTERBACKS
"Big Ben" Roethlisberger was roughed up and threw three interceptions
in a loss against the Cincinnati Bengals, but Roeth's three TDs and nearly
400 passing yards were enough to top our fantasy QB list and excite his
fantasy owners. The Bengals were led by Carson Palmer and his three TDs
on 227 yards passing...two of the scores were to wideout T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
J.P. Losman has struggled of late at the helm of the Bills, but Sunday's
game against the Dolphins was shaping up nicely...Losman hit Lee Evans
for three TDs in the first quarter, but the Bills blew a 23-3 4th quarter
lead and lost the game. Peyton Manning only threw for 187 yards in a rout
of the Tennessee Titans, but his three TDs were music to his fantasy owners.
Gus Frerotte was knocked from the Fins-Bills game in the 3rd quarter and
replaced with Sage Rosenfels while down 23-3...Rosenfels rose to the occasion
and threw for 272 yards and two scores in just over a quarter to steal
the game back from the Bills, but his surprise effort was most likely
no benefit to anyone in the fantasy football world. Brad Johnson made
it five in a row for the Minnesota Vikings with over 250 yards passing
and two TDs. The Kansas City Chiefs were led by Trent Green's 250+ and
a couple passing TDs in a must game against the Denver Broncos. Rookie
QB Charlie Frye got his first career start for the Browns and capitalized
with two second quarter TDs to rookie sensation WR Braylon Edwards to
take the Cleveland Browns into half time with a 14-3 lead, but the Jacksonville Jaguars came out of the locker room fired up and sacked Frye repeatedly...and
to make things worse, Edwards left the game in the 4th quarter with a
season ending injury as the Browns lost 20-14. Kurt Warner came through
as promised with another 300+ yard passing game, but was only able to
throw one TD to the dynamic duo of Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin...Warner
has now passed for 1646 yards in his last five games since returning from
an injury.

RUNNING BACKS
The Carolina Panthers needed a big game against the Atlanta Falcons,
and they got one from DeShaun Foster. Foster had 180 total yards and two
TDs in the game and appears to be a lock to receive most of the touches
at RB for the rest of the fantasy season. Larry Johnson was again key
for the Chiefs in a big win over the Denver Broncos with 140 rushing yards
and two scores. Clinton Portis came through for Washington in a must win
against the Rams with 136 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Rudi Johnson
and Mike Anderson each had 103 yards and two TDs, but Rudi got the bulk
of his yards on the ground in a Cincy victory...while Anderson's Broncos
weren't so fortunate against the Chiefs. Michael Bennett busted out with
89 yards and two TDs after Mewelde Moore went down with a reinjured ankle.
MVP candidate Edgerrin James continues to lead the league in yards from
scrimmage...Sunday's effort was more of the same with 124 total yards
and a touchdown. Domanick Davis was still shining on Sunday as one of
the lone bright spots on the Texans, but his 155 rushing yards weren't
enough for Houston to overcome the Baltimore Ravens. Speaking of MVPs,
Shaun Alexander added another two touchdowns on MNF to up his total for
the year to a whopping 22 with four games left. Artose Pinner had 103
total yards as the Lions lost another game. Julius Jones' 162 total yards
was huge for the Dallas Cowboys, but the N.Y. Giants were still able to
defeat the Cowboys despite Jones' effort. Samkon Gado, Corey Dillon, and
Ricky Williams all had around 80 yards and a score for their team and
their fantasy owners. Tiki Barber, Rock Cartwright, Greg Jones, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Carnell Williams all totaled over 100 yards in their games,
but none were able to find the endzone.

WIDE RECEIVERS
Chris Chambers got his touchdown and most of his yardage in the 4th quarter
from QB Sage Rosenfels to help lead the Dolphins in a come from behind
victory after being behind 23-3 at the end of three...Lee Evans caught
all three of his touchdowns from J.P. Losman in the 1st quarter for the
Bills in the same game before Buffalo fizzled and lost, but Evans' fantasy
owners most likely won their games thanks to h is monster game. Hines Ward had a huge game for the Steelers with two touchdowns and 135 yards
in a losing effort to the Bengals. Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald
proved again they are the best wide receiveing duo in football as they
combined for 19 catches and 284 yards, but only Boldin was able to reach
the endzone. T.J. Houshmandzadeh dropped a TD, but redeemed himself in
the same series with a touchdown grab...he ended with two TDs as Cincy
defeated their division rival. Koren Robinson showed he's back to his
old form when he displayed his ability on a nice touchdown bomb and run
to end up with 148 yards on the day for the streaking Vikes. Rookie Braylon
Edwards caught a TD and looked to be coming around for the Browns, but
a 4th quarter injury ended his 2005 season. Tampa's Joey Galloway continued
his fine season with 75 yards and a TD. Super-studs Steve Smith and Marvin Harrison were held in check, but both still had over 60 yards and a TD.
Eddie Kennison put up 108 receiving yards for the Chiefs and his fantasy
owners, but never crossed the goal line.

TIGHT ENDS
Chris Cooley, Antonio Gates, and Tony Gonzalez showed again why they
are three of the best tight ends in football as each found the endzone
ahd helped their teams to victories on Sunday. Bryan Fletcher caught a
TD for the third week in a row for the Indianapolis Colts. Courtney Anderson,
Reggie Kelly, and George Wrighster all had a TD with minimal yardage as
each became the target in the redzone. Ben Troupe was an active part of
Tennessee's offense against the Colts with five grabs for 67 yards, but
Troupe never made it into the endzone.
