While the linebacker class of 2006 has no single dominant prospect, overall it is a solid group of players. Many are multi-dimensional with abilities in pass coverage and run defense. An equal number of top outside linebacker prospects have the ability to play in both 4-3 alignments of 34 defenses. Including underclassmen, more then a dozen have first day potential.
