Coach Dan McCarney, one of the nicest “tough guys” you will ever meet, has done a terrific job pulling the ISU program out of the gutter. Just when it looked as though coach would get canned he steered the ship in the right direction and made two consecutive bowl appearances. Their draft prospects have been solid middle frame choices but most of the picks next April will be of the late round variety.
