| Ranks as the longest tenured player on the Bears defensive line and has served as a good mentor for the team's solid core of young defensive tackles. While rotating into the unit in each of his seasons in Chicago, Boone has been a staple in the Bears defensive line appearing in all 16 games in 3 of the last 4 seasons. Has totaled 118 tackles with 8.5 sacks and 9 TFLs for his career and has added 8 PBUs, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 forced fumble. Recorded career-high 39 tackles in 2003 while starting a career-best 6 games. Originally drafted by Detroit with the second-to-last pick of the 2000 draft, spent much of his rookie season on Lions practice squad before joining Chicago's active roster for the final 5 games of that season. |
