| Very productive on the college level, Leak has marginal tools for the next level. Must improve his overall game, learn to take snaps from under center and make the transition into an NFL passing offense to have any shot of being kept on a practice squad next year. |
| Biography: |
Four-year starter awarded All-Conference honors after his sophomore
and senior campaigns. Passing numbers last season were
63.6%/2,942/23/13. Pos:ted a career-high 3,197 yards passing.
Pos:
Hard-working quarterback who takes the game seriously. Sells the
ball fakes, goes through receiver progressions and is patient in the
pocket. Uses all his targets, goes to secondary receivers and picks up
yardage with his legs when nothing’s available.
Neg:
Does not consistently throw spirals. Cannot drive the deep pass.
Forces the ball into covered receivers. Has trouble seeing over the
line because of his lack of height. Not a sturdy quarterback who can
withstand the rush.
