| A durable and productive collegiate lineman, Sears is a wide-bodied blocker with starting possibilities. Likely to be used inside at guard initially, yet could fill in at the left tackle position in a pinch. |
| Biography: |
Three-year starter who has played every position on the offensive
line except center. All-Conference pick after his junior and senior
seasons.
Pos:
Well-rounded and versatile blocker with starting potential at the
next level. Fundamentally sound, displays better-than-average footwork
and makes good use of blocking angles. Stays with the action, jolts
opponents at the point and seals them from plays with good body
positioning. Quick to the second level, redirects to linebackers and
keeps his feet moving on contact. Strong at the point and controls
opponents.
Neg:
Lacks top lateral blocking range. Over-extends or lunges into
blocks in pass protection. |
