Durable and efficient in college, Koets offers a good amount of upside potential as a pass-protecting blindside tackle. Needs to improve his playing strength, yet a solid developmental prospect.

Biography:

Three-year starter at left tackle awarded All-Conference honors as a senior.

Pos:

Smart, durable blocker with adequate size and growth potential. Plays with outstanding pad level, quickly gets his hands up and effectively places them into defenders. Stays square and seals defenders from the action. Keeps his head on a swivel, plays smart football and works well with teammates. Uses all his assets to their maximum.

Neg:

Must improve the strength of his base. Rarely gets movement at the point of attack and falls off blocks.

2006: Koets (pronounced Coats) is one of five returning starters on the offensive line...he and fellow lineman Josh Linehan have started the last two seasons (23 games)...an athletic player that has shown his ability as a finesse blocker...a certain postseason honors candidate.

2005: Koets started all 11 games at left tackle...his play assisted Beaver running back Yvenson Bernard rank ninth in the nation with a 120.1 yards per game average and quarterback Matt Moore finish second in the Pac-10 for yards per game passing at 271.1.

2004: Adam started every game as a sophomore at offensive tackle...benefited from daily battles in practice with Pac-10 Co-Defensive Player of the Year Bill Swancutt (Detroit Lions)...Pac-10 Conference second team All-Academic.

2003: Adam played in five games, including three conference contests (ASU, Arizona, Stanford) and the Las Vegas Bowl...his spring performance in 2003 moved him up the depth chart to number two for the entire season. 2002: Redshirt.
