Three-year starter who returned to the field last season and posted
86/5/5, winning All-Conference honors. Sat out the ’05 campaign with a
knee injury. Junior totals included 71/4/9 after 102/4/10 as a
sophomore.
Pos:
King-sized safety who forces the action up the field. Instinctive,
takes good angles to the action and physically strong. Defeats blocks,
flashes on the scene in run defense and wins out in battles against
receivers. Throws his body around the field trying to make the tackle.
Neg:
Lacks sideline-to-sideline range and speed to the flanks. Does not
display a good closing burst. |
