| An instinctive cornerback with nice size, Jackson is best suited in a zone system or backed off the line of scrimmage. |
| Biography: |
Three-year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a senior after
totaling 62/2/4. Junior totals included 42/1/6. Productive
special-teams player.
Pos:
Good-sized cover corner who is effective facing the action. Plays
smart football, quickly picks up assignments in zone and keeps the
action in front of him. Fluid transitioning off the line with
opponents, and quarterbacks purposely throw away from him. Displays a
good feel for coverage, reading receiver’s eyes then getting his head
back around and positioning himself to make a play against the pass.
Works to come up the field to defend both running and screen plays.
Neg:
Lacks top-end speed and will struggle staying downfield with fast
opponents. Drops a lot of passes that would be ordinarily picked off.
