STRENGTHS

AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT
 Coverage Awareness
 Tackling Ability
An intense competitor who plays with a nonstop motor, Peters forces the action up the field and punishes opposing ball carriers. His style of play and limitations in coverage dictate he’s better off at strong safety or in a zone system.

Biography:

Three-year starter and All-Conference selection after his junior and senior campaigns. Numbers last season were 74/3/7. Led the team in tackles in ‘04, compiling 120/4/5. Missed the ’05 season after tearing a knee ligament during the first game.

Pos:

Intense, hard-hitting safety who plays with reckless abandon. Reads the action, goes for the knockout blow and works to intimidate opponents. Possesses a burst of speed and always works to get involved in the action. Works well with cornerbacks and has a burst to the ball.

Neg:

Does not consistently take the best angles to the action. Blows cover assignments. Seemingly more intent on knocking the opponent’s head off and does not tackle with proper technique. Has a long injury history that dates back to his freshman season.
