Scout.com Player Evaluation:
STRENGTHS
 Aggressiveness
 Speed
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT
 Pass Coverage Skills
A tackling machine the past two seasons, Ismail offers potential as a one-gap linebacker. Should be a special-teams demon and could see action on defense if he improves his play in coverage.

Biography:

Junior college transfer who led the team in all tackling categories as a senior, posting 90/25.5/17. Also intercepted two passes and broke up three more. Junior totals were 93/20/8.

Pos:

Undersized yet active linebacker who is effective in pursuit. Breaks down well, possesses a burst of speed and makes plays in every direction. Diagnoses the action, chases hard to get involved and makes a lot of positive plays.

Neg:

Gets caught up in the traffic moving laterally or is easily blocked at the point. Not quick reacting in coverage. Makes more plays going forward than in reverse.
