| Distinguishing himself after moving into the starting lineup last season, Shanle offers potential as a zone safety. |
| Biography: |
First-year starter who totaled 7/4/7 as a senior. Primarily a
reserve defensive back and special-teams player early in his career.
Pos:
Tough, smart football player who showed a lot of positive signs
last year. Displays good instincts, diagnoses the action and shows a
good sense of where he is on the field. Takes proper angles to the
action, works well with cornerbacks and is effective facing the
action. Explodes up the field defending the run.
Neg:
Lacks the flat-out speed and second gear. Possesses just minimal
quickness and explosion. Usually a half-step late getting to the
sidelines. |
