Joe Tafoya was signed by the Arizona Cardinals to a 1-year contract in April 2007.
Originally drafted as a seventh-round draft choice (234th overall) by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2001 NFL Draft, but failed to make the roster. The Chicago Bears picked Tafoya up for their practice squad and he spent three years with the Bears. He followed up his stay in Chicago with two years with the Seattle Seahawks.
2007
In his first year in the desert, Tafoya appeared in 13 games with seven starts. He compiled 20 tackles, two sacks and a pass deflection.
