Biography:

2006: Ranked fourth on the team in tackles, even though he started just one game (Virginia) ... Tallied 82 stops for the season, the highest mark among players returning for 2007 ... In for 482 snaps from scrimmage, he was also in on 202 special teams snaps - the third-highest tally on the team.

2005: Led the 2005 team in special teams snaps with 242 ... Recorded 51 tackles including 35 solo stops ... Led the team in tackles with a career-high 14 against MTSU ... Blocked his first career punt in that victory, he also ran a fake punt 44 yards in the Virginia Tech game.

2004: Was one of the most valuable players on the Wolfpack squad, even though he redshirted the season ... In for four snaps in the season opener against Richmond, he caught one pass for a gain of six yards ... Played special teams only against Ohio State ... Tried to play despite being hampered by a hip injury suffered in a car accident prior to his senior year in high school, he was unable to go after the second game ... The scout team quarterback for many games, perhaps one reason the Wolfpack defense ended up leading the nation in total yards allowed ... Participated with the Wolfpack track squad this winter ... Earned “Top Newcomer” honors on defense following 2005 spring drills.

High School: Missed his entire senior season after dislocating his hip in a car accident prior to the season … Earned all region honors at wide receiver and was the team MVP as a junior … Totaled 2,760 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns for his career … Also passed for 1,100 yards and 13 scores … Also ran for 600 yards and seven scores … Tallied 67 tackles with two sacks and three interceptions on the defensive side … Won the 2-A state title in the 400 meters his senior season and was second in his sophomore season.
