| Cromartie was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft, 19th overall.
2007
Cromartie more than earned his first-round pick in his sophomore try. He made his first Pro Bowl appearance and led the league in interceptions (10). Cromartie made history when he returned a 109-yard missed field goal for a touchdown on Nov. 4 at the Minnesota Vikings.
Cromartie won the starting gig in week 10 for the Chargers. He picked off three Peyton Manning throws in his first career-start. He sat in the No. 1 spot in eight games as well as all three postseason matches where he tacked on two more picks. His regular season tackle total was 44.
2006
Served as the team's nickel back, finishing with 24 tackles and four passes defenses. As a kick returner, he averaged 29.7 yards on 10 returns, including a 91-yard return against the Raiders. |
