How Acquired: Drafted by the Vikings in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
Future Contract Status
College: Holds Sun Belt Conference records for most tackles (363), most interception return yards (309) in a career, the single-season record for most yards gained on interception returns (142 in 2007) and the single-game record for most tackles in a game (25 vs. North Texas, 2005). Also ranks second in conference history with a 92-yard interception return and 28 passes defensed in his career. His 13 interceptions are third in Sun Belt history. Was the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2007. During his college career, also tallied four fumbles and recovered two and made 6 ½ tackles-for-loss.
High School: Earned all-state and all-conference honors and an undefeated season and Class 8AA championship in 2002 as a senior at Rison (Ark.) High School. Was all-district his final three seasons. As a running back, rushed 353 times for 2,725 yards (7.7-yard average) and 49 touchdowns. Also returned punts and kicks. As a defensive back, had three interceptions, including one for a TD, 20 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Also lettered in basketball and participated in track and field.
Personal: Was involved in a various community and charity events in college, including visiting the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. His mother was a sprinter at the University of Arkansas and his father is former NBA player Alvin Robertson.
