| Biography: |
| OVERVIEW: Talented reserve running back who finished third on the team in rushing yards (133). Harper had carries in six games last year and played 26 snaps against Georgia Tech that totaled 26 yards; he had two receptions that game. He started against No. 24 Alabama and played four snaps, he had six carries for 38 yards against The Citadel for his top rushing game of the year; he also had his only touchdown in that contest. Harper had seven carries for 36 yards against The Citadel and nine carries for 32 yards against Duke. He did not carry the ball, but had an impact on the win over South Carolina when he blocked a punt that led to a field goal; that was the first blocked punt of the year against the Gamecocks and the first punt blocked against a team coached by South Carolina's special teams coordinator in 10 years. He played 115 snaps and carried the ball 33-percent of the time he was in the game. Harper played special teams only against Nebraska. We should see more playing time for Harper this season. |
