Greg Estandia Profile
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed rookie CB William Middleton off
Atlanta’s practice squad and also added rookie free agent S Courtney Greene
to their 53-man roster, the team announced Monday. To make room for both
players, the team waived TE Greg Estandia and first-year WR Nate
Hughes. In addition, S Michael Desormeaux was released from the
practice squad and first-year LB Justin Roland was added to the practice
squad.
Greene, 6-0, 212, was a seventh-round pick of Seattle in this year’s draft, the
247th selection overall, and was waived on September 5. Middleton, 23, was a
fifth-round pick of the Falcons in this year’s draft, the 138th selection
overall. He was waived on September 5 and claimed off waivers by Tampa Bay
before being waived on September 10. He was re-signed to the Falcons practice
squad on September 16.
Roland, 5-11, 242, was originally signed as a rookie free agent by Philadelphia
in 2008. He spent time on the practice squads of Houston and San Francisco in
2008 and the 2009 preseason with the 49ers before he was waived on September 5.
He was a two-year letterman at Kansas State after transferring from Northeastern
Oklahoma A&M.
