The Philadelphia Eagles have interest in signing free-agent TE Martin Rucker, a league source told Scout.com.

Rucker was waived by the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday and passed through waivers unclaimed on Wednesday. Rucker was selected in the fourth round of the 2008 draft by Cleveland.

Philadelphia has just two tight ends on their 53-man roster, but has rookie TE Rob Myers on its practice squad. Rucker has practice squad eligibility left.

Rucker played in a spread offense in college at the University of Missouri and Philadelphia runs a passing offense, so their interest in Rucker shouldn't come to much of a surprise.
