RB Chris Henry: Texans Expected to Sign RB by Adam Caplan of ScoutNFLNetwork.com, October 6, 2009 at 2:54pm ET
Chris Henry Profile
Free-agent RB Chris Henry worked out for the Washington Redskins on
Tuesday morning and is on his way to Houston to sign with the Texans' practice
squad, a league source told Scout.com.
Houston has three backs on their 53-man roster and is currently carrying
undrafted rookie free-agent Arian Foster on their practice squad.
The contracts of Houston's No. 2 RB Chris Brown and No. 3 RB Ryan
Moats are set to expire after the season ends, so if Henry shows he's
capable of contributing, he could push for roster spot in the future.
Henry, based on the way that he runs, is probably a better fit for Houston
one-cut, zone blocking scheme than Washington's power rushing offense.
